Give your best photos and cinematic videos with your favorite Sony camera and lenses and let thousands of eyes see your work at Alpha Festival 2023

Mechanism:

1. Upload photos with the theme provided (portrait, landscape and birding/animals) or cinematic videos using Sony cameras
2. Post on Instagram, and include #AlphaFestContest
3. Follow and tag @sonyalpha_id and 3 of your friends that you want to invite to Alpha Festival 2023

For the three best winners from each category and theme, we will display their work in the Alpha Festival 2023 gallery and on the Alpha Universe website, also entitled to Sony Alpha merchandise.

Contest Rules

1. Send photos with the theme provided (portrait, landscape and birding/animals) or cinematic videos using Sony cameras and lenses via Instagram from January 5, 2023 at 00:01 to February 14, 2023 at 23:59.
2. Each participant may submit multiple entries via their own Instagram account in the following steps:
   Step 1: Follow @SonyAlpha_id Instagram account
   Step 2: Upload to your personal Instagram account, a photo work with the theme provided (portrait, landscape and birding/animals) or a cinematic video work using a Sony camera and lens, taken by you personally, and add the following hashtags:
   #AlphaFestContest
   Step 3: Tag @SonyAlpha_id
3. There is no limit on the number of entries that you can upload to participate, but each entry must be unique and comply with these terms and conditions.
4. Participants will be asked to set their Instagram account to a public account. Any Content for the Contest will be judged by a judging panel consisting of Sony representatives no later than February 15-March 3, 2023.
5. Participant guarantees that the entry he/she is submitting is original, free of plagiarism and third party claims, intellectual property or otherwise and has not been previously published, for which the participant owns all necessary rights thereof or is sufficiently entitled to use such original photo and video. 
6. Where there are images or personal information of other individuals appearing in or associated with your entry, you confirm that the individuals have consented and agreed to you providing the images and personal information to Sony and that Sony may use the images and personal information for the purpose of this Contest.
7. Simple editing is allowed such as adjustment in contrast, transition effects, text, brightness and cropping. However, entries found to have used green screen, CGI, rotoscoping and edits of more extensive nature are discouraged and stand a chance to be disqualified. Drone footage is not allowed.
8. Winners will be chosen with reference to the judging criteria of creativity, originality and visual/emotional impact.

9. By submitting the Contest entries, each participant thereby (a) specifically authorizes Sony to use and/or license third parties to use, without compensation, gain or rewards, a non-exclusive and irrevocable license to use, republish, edit and/or modify the Contest entries in any media for marketing and promotional purposes which include but not limited to publication at Sony’s store; (b) represents and warrants that all elements contained in the Contest entry (i) is original to the participant or fully cleared for use as contemplated herein, (ii) does and will not, in any way, violate or breach any of the terms of any other agreement the participant may be a party to, (iii) does not contain libelous, tortuous, or the publication or sale of which will violate any federal or state statute or regulation, (iv) is not obscene or in any other manner unlawful, and (v) shall not require Sony to pay or incur any sums to any person or entity as a result of Sony's use or exploitation of the same. You shall also indemnify and hold harmless Sony and its affiliates from and against any claim, action, damage, loss and costs and expenses (including legal fees and professional fees) arising from or in connection with any breach of the foregoing.
10. Winners shall agree to be contacted by Sony or its authorized representatives to participate in public relations events tied to the Contest to generate press coverage of the Contest and the Sony α Series of cameras. This may include, but not be limited to, quotes given for inclusion in press releases and press conferences, interviews, etc.
11. Sony reserves the right to disqualify all entries that do not meet the rules and regulations of the Contest. These include entries submitted with invalid or incorrect information.
12. Unfair or unethical methods of participation may result in disqualification.
13. Sony’s decision for all Winners is final.
14. Sony reserves the right to display material that has been submitted for display at offline events at the Alpha Festival 2023 gallery and on Sony's online site, Alpha Universe and be part of the publication materials.
